This is what we seek

Rev. Jeffrey Symynkywicz, October 10, 2010

This is what we seek:
a unity of part with part, and soul with soul;
all Being coalescing about the Source;
all separateness at last becoming whole.

A unity of dark and light, day and night;
all with all sweeping across the page;
beckoning each holy moment, each precious strand,
to join the indestructible, immortal garment of the Age.

Each strand is brilliant, and cherished in its color;
its form unrepeatable, unique in all the world.
Yet more precious still, and even yet more dear
is the Holy Body, the Sacred All, the Source that holds us near.

Each being is a sister, a brother, a friend and lover:
truly all aspects of our very selves! We are they, and they we;
their faces reflected in ours, and their history;
their past and future pulse within us in this living moment.

If we view our existence in this universal manner--
then our hearts open art last in deep compassion;
then nothing is foreign, we are forever at home,
joined with all the world’s beings in our wild and sacred love.
