We pray this day for greater
understanding among all people of the world.
Whatever our vision of faith, may
we all grow in harmony with that holy convenant, whose most sacred name is Love
and Compassion.
In the darkness of this world, may
our lives shine forth as living candles of faith and hope and meaning.
May we, created all in the likeness
and image of the divine,
Judge eternal, bringer of justice,
May we remember those who have
lived—and those who have died—
to bring about a reign of justice,
righteousness, and peace.
May they be for us life-sustaining
leaves on the Tree of Life,
and may their names be written,
forever, in your Book of Life,
in the pages of our human story,
and forever, deep with the hearts
of all of us.
Amen.
