Lighting the bonfires of our souls |

If we could but relight the bonfire in our souls, the original fire, that burns still, if only in embers glow. If we could set those sparks to burning true and strong again, and relight those fires under the slowly simmering cauldrons we all are, and fan the flames to life-- to life in all its glory: Then we would know, at last, the power there is in human being.
If each scar upon these calloused, human hands became a badge of courage, and of hope; if in our wounds we saw reflected at last our deeper reasons for being here, what glorious possibilities would then dance upon this lovely earth-- and we would finally reclaim (along with all earth’s creatures) the promise of our birth.
We just do not know the amazing spirit that conceived us at the first dawn. But as consciousness weaves its web, and as our hearts beat with the throb of life, there is often still in our ears just that faint echo of the Spirit’s holy music, and our Great Story’s morning song.
