The holy land within

This Creation is Sacred
and all of a piece,
a vast Holy Land
of Beauty and Bliss
for us to enjoy
and call our Blessed Home.

All Earth is sacred space,
every place we walk
and move and breathe;
the outward and the inner all united
in one total, living whole.

All Spirit is holy spirit:
every time we breathe
and sing and love.
The same fire that burns at heaven's core
burns this very moment within our souls.

We are each a Holy Land;
each a Sacred Ember of God’s love.
It is time, then-- God's time--
to glow like fire;
to embrace our planet; embrace our lives;
embrace one another as parts of our own being.

Perhaps it has been too long since we last glowed.
Perhaps it is time to come back home again
after so many years away.
