The great divine choice

Faith tells me there is a plan,
etched at the very heart of the universe;
and with each cosmic heartbeat, it draws closer to fruition.
With each moment of expansion, the circle draws fuller,
wider; deeper the resonance of Love penetrates
the very being of creation.

Everything is magnified through the mighty lens of God;
the little deeds we do for justice and for love
become like loaves and fishes, multiplied—
‘til we, too, at last, cry out:
“My soul reflects the very Will of God!”

Seldom in grand or ostentatious gesture;
still less in the affections of glamour or of wealth;
but in the simplicity, even in the emptiness, of who we are,
the Spirit has its throne.
And in the genuine kindness of our simple acts of love,
the great divine choice, the Will of God,
is made manifest again within this world.
