The Soul is All

There must be soul; it must be there.
If there’s no soul, what else is there?

The soul is all;
it sees everything, is everything;
it vivifies this earthly life
and makes it holy.

The soul is the answer
deep in the heart of being;
it is the fine, unseen thread
that connects everything.

The soul is the divine element
present in this life, here and now;
combine it with the components of being
and just watch the holy alchemy that results!

The soul is the song of God
echoing in our ears, our minds, our bodies;
it is the deep, primal drum beat
marking out the eons of our days.

It is the soul which makes
these songs of ours worth singing.
It is the soul which makes
these lives of ours worth living.
