O Great Source of Life Abundant, Once again, we are grateful that you have brought us to this most wondrous of seasons. Once again, we watch in deep wonder as the leaves spring forth from what once seemed dead branches; as tender grass rushes forth from what once seemed frozen ground. We watch in unspeakable awe as once again the earth loosens and relaxes, and countless flowers of brilliant colors begin to spring forth to new life. We watch in intense awe as a new dawn awakens over the once sleeping earth. And as it is with the earth, so may it be with our awakening spirits. Be with us, O Spirit of Life, as our hearts leap with joy; as our pulses quicken as well; as we feel deep within the returning soul rush of another springtide. May new life arise from within us, as well. May we, too, learn to loosen up and relax and en-joy this blessed gift of life. O Holy Wisdom, help us to know that this precise day, this particular season, is in truth no holier than any other; no more radiant with love, no more alive with miracle or mystery or magnitude. Help us to discern, O God, the Easter hope in each and every new day—indeed, within every blessed moment. Help us to appreciate all the more deeply that greater miracle of which we are all part: the miracle of life itself, ever-present, ever-known, ever-mysterious, ever-flowing-free. Amen. jbs
