Breathe in the Atmosphere of Love

Breathe in the atmosphere of Love,
do not be afraid;
let its essence dance within your very being,
flow through your blood like a lover’s embrace,
merging soul with soul, heart with heart,
pushing your lungs wide open
to let its life-giving oxygen
course in you and through you
in a new-found unity of human and divine.

Breathe in the atmosphere of Love
and let that life-giving spirit
kindle anew the fire that burns in your being;
let it make brilliant the colors
that glorify your life
and make your world beautiful.
Breathe in again that pure oxygen of God,
fresh, clean Spirit of the Holy One.
A new day dawns in heart and mind and soul;
a new life leaps forth
from where death’s minions had once
started to call.

Breathe—Love—Live,
and be not afraid
of what the next moment will give.
