Listen to the voice

To listen to the inner voice, the voice of God in our souls,
is to go through life as though guided by the hand of God
and not merely trip and plod our way through things
until we finally reach the expiration of our days.

There is a voice inside of us that has all answers,
that can help us to ask the questions we need to ask.
There is solace inside us which gives us the space and grace
we need to stop all our doing-- to stop and listen.

There is inside of us a Spirit which is forever new
which restores the zest and animus of a youth we never lost,
and which at the same time promises founts of wisdom
so much deeper than our limited years could ever produce.

Listen to the voice, for it is life.
Listen to the voice, for it is peace.
Listen to the voice, for in it lies all the living we need
to reach within this earthly plane and see there
an everlasting prize of infinite preciousness.
