When our souls
act as magnifying glasses
for God,
we collect the Divine Light
and focus it intensely,
piercing holes in the grey clouds
and drear of mundane being.
When we let our souls shine
with the Light of God,
we are transfixed and transformed,
emerging as wholly new creations
unto ourselves,
as truly embodied reflections
of Holy Glory.
But to gather that Light,
and reflect it and shine through the clouds of boredom
we must keep the glass clean,
stay receptive to the presence of the Spirit,
and remain diligent and focused
on the world we are to change.
