Youth Groups--Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12 |

 In
addition to a Sunday morning program, we are have Youth Groups for our
young people in grades 6 through 12. The groups meet independently at
times and come together for special activities and service projects.
The programs are geared to the ages of the participants and consist of a balance of spiritual and educational discussions, social action activities, and purely social events. At the initial session each year the youth themselves have a large say in planning most of the meetings. Additionally members of the youth group are encouraged to participate in the appropriate conferences sponsored by the Ballou Channing District Youth Groups. The youth groups are designed to be safe and nurturing places where our teenagers can continue to explore and apply their Unitarian Universalist heritage and to gain a sense of the larger UU community. |
