The Religious Education Committee has articulated the following goals for children participating in the Religious Education Program:
The whole congregation of First Parish of Universalist Church is committed to providing our children with a spiritual home where they can worship, learn and grow in a safe environment that nurtures their sense of self worth within a caring community, instills lifelong spiritual values, encourages service to the wider community and develops awareness of the need to embrace diversity and change. Programs for children and youth include religious education, worship and celebration, community service and social action as well as opportunities for fun and fellowship. They are designed to encourage and promote a sense of community within the classroom, the religious education program as a whole, and within the church congregation. Our hope is that all will enjoy the journey as we move together toward becoming lifelong Unitarian Universalists. Look over the information in these pages. We hope you like what you see and that you will join us. |
