The Religious Education Committee has articulated the following goals for children participating in the Religious Education Program:

Develop positive self images;
Have opportunities for religious discovery together with personal and spiritual growth;
Become knowledgeable about World Religions in general, and, Jewish and Christian Heritage and Unitarian Universalism in particular;
Be helped to clarify their values in order to make courageous ethical choices throughout their lives;
Develop a sense of kinship with and responsibility for all living things; and,
Be alive to the endless possibilities and wonder inherent in life.

The whole congregation of First Parish of Universalist Church is committed to providing our children with a spiritual home where they can worship, learn and grow in a safe environment that nurtures their sense of self worth within a caring community, instills lifelong spiritual values, encourages service to the wider community and develops awareness of the need to embrace diversity and change.

Programs for children and youth include religious education, worship and celebration, community service and social action as well as opportunities for fun and fellowship. They are designed to encourage and promote a sense of community within the classroom, the religious education program as a whole, and within the church congregation. Our hope is that all will enjoy the journey as we move together toward becoming lifelong Unitarian Universalists.
